Mercy Malaysia Clarifies Name Of Pakistan Body
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 12 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Medical Relief Society (Mercy Malaysia) today clarified that it was collaborating with the Pakistan Islamic Medical Association and not the Pakistan International Medical Association, as reported yesterday, to set up two clinics in Pakistan which has suffered its worst floods in 80 years.
Mercy Malaysia said in a statement the two static clinics had been established, in collaboration with the Pakistan Islamic Medical Association, in the Nowshera and Charsadda districts to serve over 3,000 flood victims.
MERCY Malaysia continued its partnership with The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the UN Refugee Agency, and ran 11 mobile clinics in Klang to offer primary healthcare to the stateless as well as marginalized communities.
