International Humanitarian Conference 2011 – Doing It Better: Transforming Humanitarian Efforts

MERCY Malaysia will be holding its second International Humanitarian Conference under the title “Doing It Better: Transforming Humanitarian Efforts” from 25-26 November 2011, at Legend Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.




The Conference aims to look at how humanitarian actors can do better in their efforts to reach those in need, the challenges faced by champions of change within the organisation, and how to encourage innovation within the constraints of limited resources and challenging working conditions in the humanitarian environment.

Our hope is that the Conference will serve as a platform for developing solutions that better meet the needs of affected populations. The outcomes could serve as the basis from which MERCY Malaysia, and other NGOs, can determine their future objectives and the possible strategies needed to achieve their goals.

With more than 100 delegates participating from Europe, the Middle East and Asia, the Conference will provide an ideal opportunity for dialogue and an exchange of ideas with some key players in the humanitarian community from around the world.
