In response to the flood in Cambodia in October, MERCY Malaysia responded to two districts in Kampong Chhnang District namely Chulkiri and Baribour. Through the rapid assessment by World Vision Kampong Chhnang, 1,334 families in Chulkiri and 1,279 families in Baribour respectively were affected by the flood.

Two rounds of hygiene kits distributions coupled with hygiene awareness campaigns were conducted by the Operations Manager of Kampong Chhnang Province, Mr. Chan Monty with the assistance and participation of the community, local government officials and authority leaders. A total of 1,548 people benefited from the family hygiene kits distribution.
