Communications Officer
MERCY MALAYSIA
To be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The Communications Officer shall play a supportive role in the Communications and Fundraising Department, and shall report to the Head of Communications and Fundraising. His/Her duties shall include (and not be restricted to) the following:
Image Bank
- To be the focal point in MERCY Malaysia to log and record photos and images from mission members and volunteers attending missions and events relating to MERCY Malaysia
- To copyright photos and images belonging to MERCY Malaysia
- To catalog photos and images in a methodological manner for easy reference and retrieval
- To advise the Department in the selection of images during all aspects of information sharing sessions with the public/donors
- To track movement of photos/images
Website
- To manage the administrative aspect of the website
- To be in charge of MERCY Malaysia’s website
Print Publications
- To support the Senior Officer of Publications and Public Relations in print and electronic media in producing articles and other relevant written materials
- To support the production of MERCY Malaysia’s annual report
- To support the Senior Officer of Publications and Public Relations in producing suitable photos in line with MERCY Malaysia’s branding and the advice of the GM’s Office
Exhibition
- To assist in developing exhibition materials, posters, banners, buntings
- To assist in developing print information materials, including leaflets, brochures and related materials
Merchandise
- To help develop and design new merchandise items
- Keep track of merchandise inventory
- Procure new or repeat orders on merchandise through suppliers
- Support merchandise sales
Event Management
- To support the Communications and Fundraising Department in fundraising activities
- To support the Communications and Fundraising Department in creating awareness on the organisation
