MERCY Malaysia is pleased to announce BURGER KING’s “FundRaising Feast”
campaign which aims to raise RM50,000 to enable MERCY Malaysia to
continue providing medical and humanitarian assistance in crisis and
non-crisis situations
.
As a ‘friend’ of MERCY Malaysia, BURGER KING is taking part in the charity’s “Change For Better” in-restaurant collection campaign.
President of MERCY Malaysia, Datuk Dr. Jemilah Mahmood praised BURGER KING at the launch of the campaign saying, “We are honoured to call BURGER KING our partner as we work hand-in-hand to further our cause. Their commitment to helping those in need has been exemplary and with the onslaught of recent disasters – both locally and abroad – MERCY Malaysia is most grateful for all the assistance it receives.
“As we continue on our journey of promoting Total Disaster Risk Management that includes emergency response right up to educating the public about disaster preparedness, we hope that more partners like BURGER KING will make the commitment to ensuring that the afflicted in both natural and manmade disasters are not forgotten.”
With every purchase of a Large Value Meal, fifty sen will be donated to MERCY Malaysia.
“We are very proud to be a friend of MERCY Malaysia and this campaign allows us to contribute to the community - especially to the recent nationwide flood relief and recovery efforts”, said Khaled Hammam, director of operations for BURGER KING Malaysia. “Our customers not only enjoy an array of flame-grilled burgers but also get the chance to be part of a good cause to assist those in need.”
