From May 19 to 24, Ms. Wendy Neoh Siew Ping, a programme officer attached to MERCY Malaysia's Relief Operations Department, was in Legazpi City to purchase an autoclave, an incubator and a biological safety cabinet and to hand them over to the Regional Public Health Laboratory, Department of Health, Centre for Health Development Bicol. This donation, valued at USD 40,000 and financed by MERCY Malaysia's Humanitarian Fund, followed MERCY Malaysia's involvement in the relief operation triggered by typhoon Reming in December 2006.
