MERCY Malaysia President Datuk Dr Jemilah Mahmood was recently appointed a member of the Board of Trustees of Save the Children UK.

As a trustee, she, along with the chairman and other fellow board members, will be responsible for the stewardship and success of Save the Children UK. 

A trustee's role includes constructively challenging and contributing to the development of the organisation's strategy, scrutinising the performance of its management in meeting with its goals and objectives, while monitoring the reporting of performance. 

The Board members will also be tasked with ensuring that the organisation's financial information is accurate and the systems of risk management are robust and defensible.

MERCY Malaysia wishes to congratulate Dr Jemilah on this appointment.
