MERCY Malaysia Distributed Camp Beds To Hospitals In Yogyakarta |

MERCY Malaysia has deployed six (6) Mission Teams to Yogyakarta,
Indonesia. Total deployment of mission members are now at 24 members
consisting of 15 medical and 9 non-medicals.

At Yogyakarta, MERCY Malaysia provided Emergency Medical Relief to the affected communities whereby more than 6, 200 people are confirmed dead from 27th May 2006, 6.2 Richter scale earthquake.
Teams are currently providing immediate medical aid at Rumah Sakit Umum Pendidikan (RSUP) Dr. Sardjito (Yogyakarta), Rumah Sakit (RS) Karisma (Kulon Progo) and Rumah Sakit (RS) Bethesda (Yogyakarta).
MERCY Malaysia has also began providing Mobile Clinics for areas in Klaten and Prambangan.
On 30th May 2006, MERCY Malaysia distributed 300 camp beds to hospitals in Yogyakarta. 170 units of camp beds were distributed to Rumah Sakit Umum Pendidikan (RSUP) Dr Sardjito, 70 units to Rumah Sakit (RS) Daerah Klaten and 70 units to Posko Kesihatan Bantul. This distribution was made possible from Human Relief Foundation, United Kingdom.
MERCY Malaysia has also distributed eight (8) Shelterboxes, consisting of tents, blankets and other essential items to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Yogyakarta.
As at 2 June 2006, MERCY Malaysia has distributed the following items in Yogyakarta and Central Java in efforts to assist the affected communities.
