As MERCY Malaysia turns 20 in 2019, we invite you to be part of our history!

Design a logo that best portrays our journey of hope and despair, love and loss, grief and joy. The winning design will be used in all 20th anniversary materials throughout 2019 and beyond.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:
– Images must be high resolution digital artwork in jpeg, png or PDF format of at least 1MB.
– Submit your entry and logo to info@mercy.org.my with your name, age, I.C. number, mobile phone number and email address, proof pf payment, and Student ID No (if applicable).
– The decision of the judging committee is final and no correspondence will be entertained.
– MERCY Malaysia retains the right to use all entries submitted for publicity purposes.
– Results will be announced on 20 November 2018.
– Winners will be notified via email and on public announcements.

MERCY Malaysia begins immediate humanitarian aid in Palestine

MERCY MALAYSIA BEGINS IMMEDIATE HUMANITARIAN AID IN PALESTINE
Gaza Strip, 16 May 2018 – Massive unrest in the Gaza Strip of Palestine in the last 2 weeks culminated in the worse violence and bloodshed yesterday since the 2014 Gaza War. In immediate response, Malaysian-based humanitarian organisation MERCY Malaysia has stepped up humanitarian aid to render assistance to affected hospitals and communities. According to the Palestinian Health Information Center (PHIC), a department within the Palestinian Ministry of Health (MOH), the total number of casualties stood at 2771, including 225 children and 79 women. The death toll, estimated at 107 is expected to rise, with 133 patients in critical condition. The main cause of injuries was from live ammunition and tear gas, which were targeted at protestors participating in what is termed the ‘Great March of Return’.

Update #3 – MERCY MALAYSIA’S CONTINUAL RESPONSE TO THE ROHINGYA REFUGEE CRISIS IN
COX BAZAR, BANGLADESH

Kuala Lumpur, 17 OCTOBER 2017 – MERCY Malaysia continues to call for urgent action to provide
relief for Rohingya refugees in Cox Bazar, Bangladesh, as the rainy seasons bring forth new challenges such as rising prices of goods and potentially fast-spreading diseases. The refugee camps, spread across 12 designated camps in the Ukhiya and Teknaf sub-districts of Cox’s Bazar, currently house almost a million refugees, with an estimated 60% comprising children, and 4% falling under children who are Unescorted or Separated from their caregivers.
